Charter Hall Retail REIT EGM Update

Charter Hall Retail REIT (ASX:CQR) refers to the previous announcement made to the ASX on 12th March 2020. That announcement invited unitholders to attend an extraordinary general meeting (EGM) to ratify, for the purposes of Listing Rule 7.4, the Institutional Placement and Unit Purchase Plan announced on Thursday, 20 February 2020, to preserve CQR’s capacity to issue up to the maximum number of Units permitted within its annual 15% limit in the next 12 months under Listing Rule 7.1, if required. Noting that there were no Units issued under the proposed Unit Purchase Plan on 30 March 2020, Resolution 2 (Ratification of Unit Purchase Plan) is therefore withdrawn.

CQR today announces that in light of current social distancing guidelines, the REIT’s EGM scheduled to take place on Tuesday April 7th will now be held as a virtual meeting.

The virtual meeting room will open 15 minutes before the meeting starts. In order to better experience the new technology, unitholders are encouraged to experiment with the link in advance and to log-in early to ensure they are able to register for the meeting.
