At Charter Hall our purpose is to create better futures through mutual success with our customers, employees and supply chain. These active partnerships create positive outcomes for all and sustainability is one way we deliver on our purpose.
We’re committed to maintaining high ethical, environmental, and social standards to continually improve our operations, practices and our supply chain.
In March 2019, we became a signatory to the UN Global Compact, supporting the ten principles on human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption.
We extend these principles into our Group strategy, culture and day-to-day operations and we’re mindful that strong partnerships with our suppliers are crucial to our success and theirs.
We actively engage with our suppliers to deliver responsible and sustainable supply chain outcomes in the provision of services and products across our portfolio. Our suppliers are an extension of our operations and customer experiences and our ethical procurement approach is guided by our Human Rights Policy and underpinned in our Supplier Code of Conduct, as outlined below.
Understanding our Supply Chains
Charter Hall has collaborated with the Property Council of Australia, leading property organisations, Informed365 and industry experts to create a Property Council pre-qualification supplier platform to ask suppliers about the actions they are taking to assess and address human rights issues and modern slavery risks across shared operations and supply chains. The supplier pre-qualification portal recognises that our suppliers work with others in the property industry and enables our suppliers to complete one survey on their supply chains and practices, which can be shared with other property organisations. Charter Hall invites all of our suppliers to complete the freely available annual pre-qualification assessment, which can be accessed at here.
For additional information about this initiative and access to a range of education resources to address modern slavery, please go to Supplier platform information and you can read our Modern Slavery Statement here.
We will continue to partner with our suppliers to mutually build our capabilities in addressing these risks, through the development of training and information.
Charter Hall Group is committed to maintaining ethical, environmental, and social standards and continuously improve their application throughout our operations, practices and our supply chain. Our Human Rights Policy outlines that this commitment extends to our Directors, employees, contractors, sub-contractors, consultants and our suppliers who we expect will conduct business in a safe, responsible and equitable manner and in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and standards.
We ask that our suppliers and their supply chains, help us deliver on our human rights commitments through our Supplier Code of Conduct. For any supplier looking to work with us, we ask you to review this Code and confirm your organisation and your extended supply chain conform with our expectations and requirements.
